LuminArx and AMD take Vultr Valuation to $3.5 Billion
New capital to advance the company's AI infrastructure and cloud computing technologies
Vultr's services include Cloud Compute for scalable virtual machines that provide flexible computing, dedicated performance, and powerful graphics processing; Bare Metal for dedicated single-tenant servers; and Cloud GPU for AI workloads requiring high-performance cloud-based graphics processing.
Vultr, a privately held cloud infrastructure company, has completed a $333 million growth financing round with a valuation of $3.5 billion.
The new round, led by LuminArx Capital Management and AMD Ventures, will be used to accelerate Vultr’s global expansion in AI infrastructure and cloud computing.
Founded in 2014 by David Aninowsky, Vultr has spent over a decade as a self-funded enterprise, providing industry-standard offerings like Cloud Compute for scalable virtual machines that provide flexible computing, dedicated performance, and powerful graphics processing for demanding tasks; Bare Metal for dedicated single-tenant servers that provide isolated, secure, and customizable environments; and Cloud GPU for AI workloads requiring high-performance cloud-based graphics processing. Vultr is headquartered in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Vultr’s infrastructure powers AI training, video rendering, and real-time analytics applications across 32 data center regions across 6 continents. This global presence allows organizations – Vultr has customers across 185 countries – to deploy low-latency applications tailored to regional markets.
J.J. Kardell
“Building upon the foundation created by David Aninowsky, Vultr has become the cloud infrastructure alternative for organizations seeking independence from traditional hyperscalers,” said J.J. Kardwell, the CEO of Vultr. He noted that partnerships with LuminArx and AMD Ventures would further bolster Vultr’s global expansion and its ability to serve AI-native businesses.
With this financing, Vultr will enhance its cloud GPU fleet to address the growing demands of AI innovators and enterprises. The investment aligns with a 451 Research report commissioned by Vultr, which projects that enterprises will drive AI workloads to the edge by 2025.
